Animal activists increase protest against Philippines Air over monkeys

The campaign against Philippines Airlines is continuing to move forward. On Tuesday, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) called on its members and fellow animal rights activists to take to Facebook in order to tell the airline that transporting monkeys for medical experimentation was not kosher.

PETA is urging users to go onto the company’s Facebook page and make comments urging the airline to end the transportation of monkeys to almost certain torture and death.

The airline has apparently deleted any negative comments from the page.

“Philippine Airlines continues to ship monkeys to laboratories for use in experiments, even though almost every other major airline has already stopped this cruel practice,” PETA said in a statement sent to its members and followers.
